Further Event Information
Making music with a singular talent and a unique vision on a 10-string fiddle called the hardanger d'amore, Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh has performed on some of the most venerable stages in the world, including the Sydney Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall. His nineteen recordings to date have seen him continue to explore the region where traditional music begins to disintegrate - both as a solo artist and through his acclaimed collaborative work, including groups The Gloaming and This is How we Fly plus duos with Dan Trueman, Thomas Bartlett, Garth Knox, Mick O’Brien and Brendan Begley. He has also performed with artists such as Laurie Anderson, Vincent Moon and Amiina and has composed music for theatre and film.
