TURIN BRAKES/SOUND OF THE SIRENS
Turin Brakes are an English band, comprising original duo Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian, and long-term collaborators Rob Allum and Eddie Myer. They had a UK top 5 hit in 2003 with their song "Painkiller". Since starting out in 1999, the band have sold over 1 million records worldwide. This is an indie band characterised by fine musicianship with an intricate folk sensibility.
Exeter-based duo Abbe Martin and Hannah Wood of Sound of the Sirens have built their fan base not merely through several sublime EP releases, but also through their live shows, which combine a natural facility for connecting with their audiences and unforgettable performances predicated on energy, warmth, humour and, above all, real conviction. Sound of the Sirens want to both enlighten and entertain, and they want to do it with euphony. Prepare to be enthralled!
