Martha Wainright
Martha was born in New York City to folk legends Kate McGarrigle and Loudon Wainright III. With an undeinable voice and an arsenal of powerful songs, Martha Wainright is a beguiling performer and a refreshing different force in music. Marthe began building a buzz with her well-noted EP's, prior to her 2005 critically and commercially successful LP, 'Martha Wainright'. Eleven years later she released 'Goodnight City' returning to the rawness of that first release. Currently Martha is finishing a book titled 'Stories I Might Regret Telling You' which, like her songs, is a wondow into her life without artifice, pretension or fakery. Though born to royalty Martha Wainright has always worn her aristocracy lightly and with infectious good humour. We are honoured to have her in the line-up for TradFest 2018.
